CINOART’s PTB-MY is compatible with all portafilter brands, including single, double and bottomless. Given the differences in portafilter height it is crucial that the fork is adjusted correctly prior to use to ensure tamping accuracy and consistency - and to prevent damage to the sensor.
Program up to three individual Preset Pressures and Tamp Cycles.
Example: Presets 1, 2 or 3 can be adjusted by choosing [Tamp Weight] to adjust the pressure and [Tamp Cycles] to adjust the number of tamping cycles.
Each Preset can also be setup with two different tamping weights. You can choose between a single, double, or triple tamp for each preset weight.
Example: 1st Tamp value set at 8kg followed by the 2nd Tamp at 30kg of pressure (or any other value combination in between 2kg – 38kg).
Setting a Segmented Multi-tamp
Go to the Settings screen. Click on the [Segmented Tamp] button to proceed;
Displayed will be Presets 1, 2 and 3 on the left. and there is the Tamp Cycles and 1st tamp Force parameters can be adjusted.
Select one Preset to program (in example above Preset 3 is chosen);
Adjust The Tamp Cycles (in example tamp cycles are set to 3);
Adjust 1st Tamp Force (here we adjust the pressure to 15kg - following tamp weight will be the same);
Any changes mae will be saved automatically when you click the other Preset buttons;
Simply repeat Steps 2 to 4 if you wish to program other Preset buttons.
Daily cleaning of your PTB-MY tamping disk will ensure optimum performance and tamping consistency. The Cleaning function lowers the tamping disk so you can clean it easily.
Go to the Setting page. Select the [Tamper Lift], Press [Tamper Down] – Tamper Comes Down.
Go to the Setting page. Select the [Tamper Lift], Press [Tamper Down] – Tamper Comes Up.
The CINOART PTB-MY can record the total coffee tamp activations for each different tamping profile. A great feature for monitoring daily coffee sales.
Activate Record Function
Go to the Setting screen. Choose [Tamp Record], and select [Off Record] to activate the record function.
Check The Counter
Go to the Setting screen. Choose [Tamp Record], you would see the total record in the first cycle button.
Clear The Record
Go to the Setting screen, choose [Tamp Record], and click [Record Reset] to clear the previous day’s records.
Go to the Setting screen. Choose [Tamper Lift]. Press [Tamper Down] – the tamping disk will lower.
Rotate the tamping disk counterclockwise to remove. Rotate clockwise to install a new tamping disk.
Go to the Setting screen. Choose the [Tamper Lift], and Press [Tamper Down] – Tamper Comes Up.
